Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Ildiko Nyikos. I am a native of Budapest, Hungary. I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a master's degree in Exercise Physiology.
I am an "Exercise is Medicine" Level 3 provider, and a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP®) by the American College of Sports Medicine, which is the largest sports medicine and exercise
science organization in the world. I am one of only four individuals who hold this title in the state of Alabama. I serve as a board member on the RCEP® Certification Committee. I am a chapter editor and reviewer for the following publications:
1. ACSM's Resource Manual for Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription (9th ed.) 2. ACSM's Guide to Exercise and Cancer Survivorship (2012.)
3. ACSM/NCPAD Resource Manual for the Certified Inclusive Fitness Trainer (1st ed.)
I have been providing services for almost twenty years in the Birmingham, AL area. I offer structured training sessions for both healthy persons and individuals with various chronic conditions and disabilities. My education, qualifications, and many years of experience allow me to provide a much higher level of service compared to a regular personal trainer's capabilities. I am certified to develop and implement exercise programs for people with chronic conditions such as heart problems, diabetes, MS, arthritis, cancer, etc.
I am passionate about my work and I am passionate about working with seniors. Some of them think that they are too old to exercise. I like to prove them wrong.
I truly believe, that people of all ages and physical conditions can improve their physical condition and feel better about themselves.
We all have the potential to improve our health and quality of life.
Even if you had an inactive lifestyle, there is good news. It is never too late to improve your health.
So, if you want improved function, greater strength, endurance, better balance, and coordination, let me show you that it is all POSSIBLE....
Let us make it happen!
